My story actually begins with my Mom. She ordered the oils, without hesitation in July of 2013. Her friend mentioned that there is an oil that can help with sleep and she said "sign me up!" As soon as my Mom received her oils and began using them in her everyday life, she naturally wanted to pass them along to me and my family. I was pretty skeptical at first (as are most). They just seemed too good to be true! She gave me some samples, and continued to share with me how they were working for her... helping her sleep, reversing the start of a cold, and preventing my Dad from snoring. I was most interested in how I could use them to prevent my almost 2 year old from picking up the latest bug at Mother's Day Out or the church nursery. My first Young Living essential oil purchase (through my Mom) was Thieves.
To this day Thieves essential oil blend is my favorite and most used oil. We personally use it to stave off the nasty cold/sinus infection season, prevent ear infections, ease teething pain, and clean the whole house. Anytime we have company at our house we diffuse thieves. We rub it on our feet to boost our immune systems. I have even ingested it to get over an illness more quickly. Thieves sold me. These oils are real. They came from God, Day 3, and I believe were part of His original plan.
So, in January of 2014, we went all in. I say "we" because I had to convince my sometimes skeptical husband that they were worth the cost of the starter kit (which they are). He is now a believer, and one of my most frequent patients! We are now on this adventure of replacing our medicine cabinet with essential oils. We don't take pain relievers or cold medicines anymore. We use the oils to treat fever in our son, for quick healing of his many bumps and bruises, and to help him sleep through the night. I use them at 7 months pregnant for complete relief of my lower back pain, and to get a restful night's sleep. My husband uses them for muscle aches and stress. We wash our hands with them. We clean and sanitize our whole house with them. We even use them on our Dog! Our journey has only just begun, and we look forward to using them in labor and delivery, and with our brand new edition to the family. Young Living Essential oils have truly changed the state of my family's health, and have left us feeling more empowered, with these amazing God-given tools in our hands.
